Mans Jonasson, the son of Jon.as Nilsson and Gertrude Svensdotter, was born c. 1663 in Kingsessing. Based on the birth year of his eldest child, Margaret (born 1691), it is likely that he married in 1690. His wife was Ingeborg, the daughter of Peter Nilsson Lycon. Initially, they lived on a 100-acre tract at Aronameck, on the west bank of the Schuylkill, a tract which was formally bequeathed to Mountz by the will of his father Jonas Nilsson dated 14 January 1692 [1692/3) and proved 23 October 1693. This land was later patented to Mounce Jones, 20 July 1707, for 102 acres. …
